Little black dress with little golden details

Hello people! Sorry for the late post, but I don't know if you're up to date, but now I live in Nice, France and moving is for sure not an easy thing. So, I've just received some photos of Cori in a little black dress I did for her, so, now is the perfect time to post it. The dress has a lot of hidden mechanisms, so the dress can be cleaned without damaging the golden chains.
I just wish sometimes I could do the pictures of the beautiful ladies I dress, or at least coordonate the photographer:P

Too bad you cannot see the back of the dres...it's a midi round cut. Anyway, Cori looked pretty awsome!

Ok, so we have this divine body with sky-high legs and the question is: how to dress it? That's easy, let's wrap it in some time&nerves-killing-skill-demanding curved pleating and let it flow from there...I'm not sure if you can tell from the pictures that the fitted bodice is entirely made of these curved pleats, but it is... oh,oh, stressful memories with a gorgeous result, so it was definetly worth it!

Ma chere amie Vio et encore d'autres chers amis (un peu plus ages que moi) ont fete 10 ans de la fin du lycee. En resultat, une robe marine et deux bracelets, toutes les deux Sunnymoon (hormis la broche), avec des details en rubans de satin, bien sur, chaussures Tommy Hilfiger, et beaucoup de joie!!!

La semaine passee a eu lieu l'eveniment "Prendre le cafe avec ton styliste", organise par Maideyi cafe, en colaboration avec "Hair by Flory"/ Wella-salon de coiffure et Sunnymoon (moi :P ).
Beaucoup de choses interessantes ont ete discutees a propos des cheveux, des tendances, comment communiquer avec ton styliste, comment on doit proteger les cheveux, quelles sont les differences entre les produits retail et ceux professionnels.
Tout ca a culmine avec un defile de mode Sunnymoon, dont les magnifiques coiffures et maquillages ont ete realises par "Hair by Flory". Les robes presentees sont une selection, une petite histoire si vous voulez, qui montre l'evolution de ma vision en ce qui concerne la feminite. Emblematiques, restent-ils les rubans en satin, que je ne cesse pas d'aimer...

de realiser une robe pour Mme Brandusa Steiciuc, qui est tres proche de moi et qui a beaucoup de bon gout et du raffinement naturel. Une vraie dame!
Elle a aime cette robe de ma derniere collection et nous avons adapte les couleurs: plus de printemps, plus de vert, plus de tonique.
J'aime quand je change les materiaux et les couleurs de l'une de mes creations et un entierment nouveau model prend vie! Moi, generalement, j'ai l'embarras du choix, parce-que j'apprecie chaque possibilite et je suis tres heureuse quand j'ai l'occasion d'experimenter d'autres variantes.

Depuis quelque temps deja, je vais souvent aux fetes de mariage et vous savez bien que j'ai quelques postes dedies a ce sujet. Il y a 3 semaines mon petit cousin Andrei s'est marie avec Magda et leur fete a ete onirique.
Je commencerai par des photos avec Magda et sa robe magnifique (Aire Barcelona) qui a ete dans ma chambre pour deux jours et que j'ai pu observer en detail. Je dois admettre que j'ai appris beaucoup de secrets en ce qui concerne les robes de mariee...;))
Une mousse fraiche, bouffee de vent, muguets, flotteur, printemps, joie...

Some basic stuff

In the last period I've started some tailored stuff, nothing extremely fancy, but mostly some basic pieces for an office outfit, still, with a twist. Like the jacket down here, a classic one, "polished" with some really nice and delicate buttons and a gorgeous lining, which is great if you want to wear your sleeves rolled up or whatever... I'm sure you got it :)
I hope Mirona will enjoy it at her (not so) "stiff" office.

Heimtextil

In case you haven't heard of Heimtextil, it is "the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles and the global benchmark for quality design textiles of innovative functionality", being the first major presentation and ordering date of the year. It takes place in Frankfurt and this year it was between 13-16th of january. Anyway, 4 days are simply not enough to go through all 11 buildings and check out all the exhibitors, attend to all the lectures, the work shops and still be sane after... and a designer just wants and needs to do that. So if 4 days are not enough, for sure 1 (due to objective circumstances) can be overwhelming and exhausting. But it was a concentrated 1 day of delight to eyes and touch regarding weavings, patterns, colors, CAD/CAM.
Not so much of a surprise was to find mainly asian exhibitors from India, China, Pakistan, but Romania was also there: Australis Prod, Lonfil, Madeva Industry, NMG Leonard, Pasmatex, Prodin, Tesatoriile Reunite.
The big surprise or better said the big dissapointment was to realise that no pictures were allowed and it is better not to mess with german people when it comes to rules;) So you can have a glance at photos from the fair on their official web site here:

Since the main reason for my being there was to find exceptional manufacturers that can weave and print my vision, there wasn't so much time for the educational part:)
But this fair it's great even if you are not in the home textile industry, just for inspiration because there are a lot of interestings stuff there including CAD/CAM for clothing industry.
And this puts Heimtextil next to Venice art and architecture biennale in the "must" category...

Creaza si doneaza pentru cei care conteaza. Eveniment caritabil organizat de RFB si Club 4x4 Romania, sustinut de Orange concept store.
Bucuresti, 23 noiembrie 2009 : RFB (Romanian Fashion Bloggers) si Club 4x4 Romania te invita la Orange concept store, sambata, 5 decembrie 2009, intre orele 11 si 17, la o petrecere creativa organizata in scop caritabil.
La acest eveniment sunt chemati toti cei care doresc sa intinda o mana de ajutor, insa intr-un mod inedit : cei prezenti vor crea accesorii pentru Craciun, accesorii care vor fi apoi oferite spre vanzare, in cadrul evenimentului. Fondurile astfel obtinute vor fi folosite pentru a ajuta 80 de copii scolari si prescolari din Comuna Braiesti, judetul Buzau.
“ Acest eveniment este continuarea unui vechi proiect care a avut mult success in vara lui 2009 – RFB Creative Party, insa, de data aceasta, cu un scop caritabil. Asocierea cu Clubul 4x4 Romania face ca ajutorul sa ajunga in locuri atat de vitregite, incat nici nu am visat ca exista. Still alive, just that there were some busy times here with Inspired competition...I signed in for accesories section and just waited for the last 50 feet to get the right inspiration and to feel the deadline in my back :) The theme that I chose is Mobility and starting from this I worked with an older idea (remember the 3 in 1 bag) and developped a modular collection, versatile and very very mobile. Long road, we know, but the idea is that we just got in the car and went there and well did we do...There were a lot of attendants with tons of ethnic goodies and much more, and a very good promotion of the event because a lot of visitors/buyers came. A fost odata un taram ciudat in care asupra oamenilor s-a abatut o boala curioasa. Ca prin minune, au uitat sute de cuvinte pe care, deunazi, le-ar fi folosit fara necaz. In schimb, au inceput sa rosteasca hot, glam, trend, street art sau lifestyle si sa-si faca mici statui din noii zei de import.
Si nimeni nu radea, cum s-ar fi potrivit, pentru ca toti erau tare bolnavi.

For the weddings no. 19273 and 19274 that I attended this year I wore this vintage purple natural silk dress, that actually my mother wore it in the night of her wedding, after switching from her white dress. A lot of dresses and weddings, but I hope you get it:) I did some adjustments to fit me better, but the shape it's the same and the material it's divine. It's like a smoothie and like no other silk that I've touched in a long time. The belt it's specially hand made.

I sometimes like to look through my pictures from different places, recapturing the moments. The same thing happened here, when I bumped into these pics from the wild Erasmus days with Mariuca in Reutlingen, Germany. The event was a party in Wurmbar, and the only condition was to wear anything else but clothes :). It was a very fun challenge and we all got creative. I present you my stashed collection of outfits for halloween or more:)))

Mariuca made herself an ingenious playing cards dress, that she can still wear:

I decided to get in touch with nature and made a corset out of leaves that is so unique that you can wear it only once :)

Dave wore his sheet and his pillow (as pants) and Benois became this hunter dressed in a tiny newspaper "skirt" or kilt or whatever they called it those days:

The beginning of the summer was the end of ...

...the 6 years of University for Maty and that was celebrated with a party (aka "prom":) ) at Onix restaurant in Iasi, at which I had a great time and danced a lot (last year when I graduated we didn't organise one). I refused to wear anything else but Sunnymoon :), so I made myself a simple short purple dress, which I animated with a colourful and long waist belt. And the situation looked like this:

The covering of the bow in the last picture was due to equilibrium reasons :). The sandals were at one point in time my mother's. Maty danced an H&M suit, a Bigotti shirt, a Hugo Boss tie, Il Passo shoes and me all night long...

Crazy weekend...

Ok, so this Saturday I attended 2 weddings (while my significant other was at the third...), one in Slanic Moldova and one in Iasi. The best part was that Cati and Radu's wedding (Slanic Moldova) was not a traditional one and started at 5 pm between these gorgeous white tents and the mountains:

Soon I'll post photos from the religios ceremony, where it wasn't grass on the floor and I wore high heels:). The crazy Saturday continued when at 8 pm I left for Iasi, drove 3 hours and finally arrived at wedding no2. But that's another story in another episode...

O idee plus-que-feminine s-a materializat la un moment dat in prima sedinta foto dedicata creatiilor mele. Modelul este Madalina Agavriloaie (friend and kind enough to let herself in my hands), iar fotograful este Andreea Danila http://andreeadanilareportaje.blogspot.com/ (special friend of mine and kind enough to help me in need). Le multumesc din suflet amandurora, chiar daca le-am chinuit cu orarul pentru ca totul a fost sub ceas. Fotografiile au fost realizate la Hotel Select si lounge bar TimeOut din Iasi, care au fost foarte receptivi la aceasta idee. Le multumesc si lor de asemeni.
Tinuta face parte din colectia "Plus-que-feminin", care propune o abordare mai putin elaborata a hainelor din punct de vedere croitoricesc, lasand trupul sa fie cel care le da forma finala. Aceasta cred ca va fi tema colectiei mele de dizertatie, asa ca probabil voi reveni atunci cu detalii conceptuale si cu restul tinutelor.

Fusta s-a nascut in urma unei teme semestriale la master si a fost un expriment pentru mine, pentru ca m-am jucat cu franghie, cuie si un vas de 8l. Stilul trebuia sa fie gipsy, dar i-am dat o nuanta delicata, fina, asa cum sunt reprezentantele sexului frumos in viziunea mea. Dupa vopsirea propriu-zisa, materialul a fost brodat si apoi modelul de desen a fost completat de interventia manuala prin punctele albe. Gentuta este obtinuta in aceeasi tehnica, dar ea completeaza mai bine tinute mai simple, in care fusta nu se regaseste, pentru a nu concura.

Apartamentul Mariei

Mi-a placut la nebunie cand Maria mi-a dat mana libera in nou noutul ei apartament. Voia ceva si in living si in dormitor si pe abajur...Peste tot:) Mai sus sunt poze din living, unde am ales sa-i pictez o pana de paun, pentru ca era in ton cu cromatica camerei (nu intra in imagine, dar canapele sunt beige inchis, iar pernutele turcoaz) si ii amplifica aerul exotic..

In dormitor, peretii sunt lila pal, asternuturile pe nuante de mov, patul din fier forjat, asa ca am vrut sa pastrez atmosfera intima si sofisticata a movului, dar sa-l mai dezmortesc pentru diminetile proaspete cu putin verde crud.

Cand am acceptat sa-l pictez pe Shrek si toata trupa, stiam ca va fi multa munca si speram din tot sufletul sa iasa bine. Acum cand il revad, parca nici nu e mana mea acolo :). Oricum, la final eram linistita...
